E36 M3 front caliper pistons (60mm diameter) are too large for an E46 330i front caliper, which has 57mm pistons. I don't know the size of E46 M3 pistons, but they're probably at least as big as the E36 M3 pistons.

The rotor size that was used with the 17z setup was 330mm both 330 and M use a 325mm front rotor so fitment wise it should be ok, but im sure I will still need a bracket to adapt it to the e46 hub. I saw that eyptec had some adaptors but im not sure that they will work.
